Geographical Names Board of New South Wales

The Geographical Names Board was established by the Geographical Names Act 1966, to assign names to places and geographical features and to alter or discontinue geographical names. Prior to the Board's establishment there was no formal registry of names, which meant that many places and features had several different spellings or names. http://www.gnb.nsw.gov.au
