ACT Registrar-General's Office The Births, Deaths and Marriages (BDM) Unit operates within the Registrar-General's Office (RGO) and registers ACT births, deaths, marriages, adoptions and changes of name as events that occurred within the territory, as well as deaths that occur abroad under certain circumstances. The BDM Unit records in perpetuity a range of life events that occur in the ACT. It also provides certificates relating to those events. http://www.ors.act.gov.au
