- Notes
- The Causeway is one of the oldest 'suburbs' in Canberra. It was never an official suburb and is now part of Kingston. The name was coined by Walter Burley Griffin for a road running from Canberra Avenue across the Jerrabomberra Wetlands to Russell. 'The Causeway' was to form Eastlake but that part of the lake scheme was never implemented. The first houses were built at the Causeway in 1925 but they were demolished by 1977.
