- The Canberra Times of 26 February 1929 wrote of the English team's discourtesy and \"sly visit to Canberra\" and the \"snub\" to local hospitality. They spent more time in Goulburn.
- Ernest Crutchley (british diplomatic rep) and Douglas Jardine are in front, second and third from left. 'Plum' Warner is far right on step.
