Gathering of descendants of pioneer settlers. Anecdotes presented at gathering include: Kangaroo shooting at Tinderry Station; Playing a joke on old Darb of Braidwood; Resumption of Grannie Ingram's property into the ACT; Thomas Southwell's first bank book and being held up by bushrangers; An old timer's encounter with the traffic police; Thomas Woodger's inability to get credit from the bank in Queanbeyan for farmers during the drought but being assisted anonymously by Frederick Campbell of Yarralumla; Ordering of supplies over telephone party line; First cars sold in the district; Grave at Naas Bridge; Walking to Narrabundah School in 1916; Ross Smith's flight over Canberra; White City camp.
Miss Curley commented on names of old places that have been changed and how many people were in favour of retaining old names, for example, Dairy Flat Bridge and Telopea Park School.
