Anecdotes presented at gathering include: Kangaroo shooting at Tinderry Station; Playing a joke on old Darb of Braidwood; Resumption of Grannie Ingram's property into the ACT; Thomas Southwell's first bank book and being held up by bushrangers; An old timer's encounter with the traffic police; Thomas Woodger's inability to get credit from the bank in Queanbeyan for farmers during the drought but being assisted anonymously by Frederick Campbell of Yarralumla; Ordering of supplies over telephone party line; First cars sold in the district; Grave at Naas Bridge; Walking to Narrabundah School in 1916; Ross Smith's flight over Canberra; White City camp.
