- Otto Frankel is on extreme right of picture. He was, by 1951, Chief of the CSIRO Division of Plant Industry. Like Farrer, he did highly significant work in wheat breeding (in his case, in New Zealand). The other figures are probably AT Shakespeare (standing) and one of the De Salis family (sitting).
