- Yaouk is on the upper reaches of the Murrumbidgee River just over the ACT border, to the west of Sentry Box Hill. Percy Owen was Chief Engineer of the Federal Capital Commission at the time and instrumental in the early development of Canberra. The photo is part of the Astley Pulver collection. Pulver was a surveyor in the Territory during the 1920s.
