- During the summer of 1918, the gun had been used by the Germans to fire on the city of Amiens, about 25 kilometres away, from a railway carriage. After being attacked by the RAF the Germans abandoned the gun and it was captured by Australian troops on 8 August 1918. It is on display at the Australian War Memorial.
